Career Advising

I have been advising MIT students and alumni for over a decade on their software engineering careers. I have been able to help my advisees with thinking through career direction, landing their first full-time job, recovering through layoffs, and more.

Mock Interviews
I specialize in providing mock interviews for both coding and system design interviews. I provide comprehensive feedback from both technical and behavioral perspectives.
Career Conversations
Software engineering is very broad and has many sub-disciplines and the technology landscape is always changing. As someone who has worn many hats across several different industries I can share my perspective on what role / discipline might fit you best.
Resume Reviews
Your resume is often the first document that a company sees (or doesn't see) about you. Now with AI ingestion of resumes, is your resume still up to the task? I provide feedback both from a human and AI ingestion point of view.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm a MIT affiliate, how can I best connect with you?

Please use the MIT Alumni Advisor Hub and find me on there!

I'm not affiliated with MIT, can I still contact you?

Yes, you are welcome to contact me for my thoughts.

Can you guarantee me a job?

Unfortunately I can't do that but I can help you with increasing the likelihood of landing a job.

Why do you volunteer your time to do this?

From as early on in my life as I can remember, I've always been inclined to help others. From simple things like holding open a door, picking up something someone dropped, to tutoring my peers in school, to helping teammates with their work. As I continued to grow in my career I gravitated towards opportunities at MIT to be of service to the community.
